MY CURRENT EVENT

A reptile lover, Thompson,  who worked in his family’s pet store in Temple, was found unresponsive July 14 in a Lowe’s parking in Austin with his car door open and an empty container that housed the cobra, a viper snake and several tarantulas. Thompson was transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where he later died.

That is a very tragic death. Police ruled it as suicide, and knowing that, affects me because it is happening to kids all over the world, and it could happen to anyone I’m close to. This affects the family deeply because their poor son is gone and they never knew that he was struggling. I feel really bad for them to e completely honest. Thompson was going through a lot I’m assuming, and they never knew that. His family may have been the cause of his struggles, who knows. This affects the world because everyone has struggles, and suicide crosses the mind of several teens these days, and the leading problem is usually peers and bullies, sometimes even family, and so many more families could lose their children because of this very tragic issue. I for one believe that suicide has to stop, so people should think before they speak. It would honestly make a huge difference.

This one spoke to me the most because this is happening to kids all over the world, and it is very heartbreaking. Those kids go through so much for their simplest actions, and just knowing that,  makes me feel like my peers and I are unsafe. If it can happen to them, it can happen to any of us. This guy, for example, got whipped just for shaving! What if it happened to us just for taking off our shoes, or brushing our hair, or wearing makeup. It hurts knowing this happens everywhere, to innocent kids.

Investigation continues after 2 students killed in school bus crash
You would never believe the fatality of the bus crash on September 15th! The bus was simply driving to a charter when it was hit by a Houston ISD teacher and went over the 610 South Loop after being struck by this other vehicle, Houston Independent School District officials confirm. Two children perished in this horrifying accident. It is incredibly sad that this happened. It affects me because that could have been my bus! It affects the world, but mostly the families of the children. The impact it has on the world is, that could have been anyone. The entire population of the bus was injured and two were killed. Talk about sad! I would hope that people would be more careful on over passes, but I guess not.

KPD identifies driver in hit and run fatal crash
Krysten Nicole Mcarty was recently found guilty as the driver in this very awful accident. This poor family has to live through the pain of losing 5 year old, Robert Moorhead. I feel for this family greatly. Not just the fact that they lost someone they held close to their hearts, but also because I knew this family, and the little boy. My grandmother lives in Kilgore and I stay with her often, and this family lives on her street. I grew up around them. So it is not just heart breaking for them but for everyone around them. This impacts the world because what if it was your child that got hit? What if this woman stole the life of your child? This was an awful day in Kilgore
