A reptile lover, Thompson, who worked in his family’s pet store in Temple, was found unresponsive July 14 in a Lowe’s parking in Austin with his car door open and an empty container that housed the cobra, a viper snake and several tarantulas. Thompson was transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where he later died.
That is a very tragic death. Police ruled it as suicide, and knowing that, affects me because it is happening to kids all over the world, and it could happen to anyone I’m close to. This affects the family deeply because their poor son is gone and they never knew that he was struggling. I feel really bad for them to e completely honest. Thompson was going through a lot I’m assuming, and they never knew that. His family may have been the cause of his struggles, who knows. This affects the world because everyone has struggles, and suicide crosses the mind of several teens these days, and the leading problem is usually peers and bullies, sometimes even family, and so many more families could lose their children because of this very tragic issue. I for one believe that suicide has to stop, so people should think before they speak. It would honestly make a huge difference.
